    South Africa team selection

Never agreed with the whole horses for courses thing. One thing the greatest teams have in common is that they have a core group of players that can perform home and AWAY. I feel Marco Jansen has a greater wicket taking ability than Ngidi. I feel on flatter decks Ngidi will be targeted. But...

    5th Test at Hobart - 14-19 Jan 2022

Always knew Travis was class when I saw him a few years ago. He's had his doubters but the class and composure always shines through. If Usman and Head can show some consistency, I'd say Australia have the most frightening batting top order post late 2000's and 2010's since SA's Smith, Amla...

,. It is still the weakest SA team since readmission...on paper. I fully expected India to win with the experience and talent they have. I'm glad SA proved me wrong. Loved the way they scrapped and didn't just fold. That should be the foundation of any SA team. Scrap till the last. Don't give...

I'm going Nortje Rabada Jansen ( dude will only get stronger, faster and wiser) as a front 3 bowlers, in all conditions any pitch. I really believe if these 3 show a little more discipline in their lines and lengths they could cause some nightmares for any batting lineup in the next 3 years...

I may be mistaken but I think he's scored a few blistering 4 day centuries, may be mistaken. I think he's still finding his feet in the international test arena, and deserves a longer run. Unfortunately for him he was a late comer to the international stage. Similar to Faf in that respect. But...

I wouldn't pick Ngidi over Jansen, Rabada and Nortje as our front line bowlers... I'd like an all rounder to step in,

I've been calling for a young gun to step up in this batting lineup, and he stepped indeed. Keegan Peterson take a bow. Something for SA to build on. Core team players that will compete and build a team around. Elgar Peterson Bavuma, RVD ( we havent seen the full array shots from him, but we...

Wonderful exhibition of fast bowling from Bumrah today.Pace, bounce and aggression. India in a good position.

Anything over 200 will be a test for this SA lineup.

Majestic back foot cover drive from Pant. A calm Pant is a dangerous Pant.

Loving this innings from Virat. Showing his class, fighting for his team. That's how you play Test cricket.

Yes there is potential and talent there. But when realistically compared to every other SA batting lineup since readmission it's weak. These lads must now step up like their predecessors and translate that talent into consistency. In order to get a fixed test lineup that will compete with the...

I disagree on certain aspects. Although the numbers haven't been bad. The presence and pace has been off. He is at a stage where fast bowlers hit their prime which 25 to 27. Seems like his dip has hit sooner than expected. The worrying thing for me is the drop in pace from 145 - 151 to 136 to...

Pivotal time in Rabada's career, looks a shadow of his former self. Disappointing performances in the subcontinent and at home of recent times. With his 50th test looming, will be interesting to see if he steps up.

I agree this is India's greatest pace attack. Over the last 2 years they have shown good discipline and aggression. What the cricketsevant probably means is that they haven't joined the pantheon of ATG pace attacks just yet, still a way to go.

Having watched this series and Dale's entire career I can say without doubt that it was one of his best spells. Tendulkar's mastery of Steyn and Morkel in 2010 (who were both in their prime) has not been replicated by any touring batsmen since . That being said I'd give second place to Michael...

Good win from the Proteas, they at least showed some grit this test match. That being said it's just hard to watch a Protea attack that can't consistently hit 145km whilst maintaing a good line and length with the a couple short balls. A short ball is only threatening when bowled at intense...
