Australia's batting without Smith and Warner, worst of all major teams?

Agreed. England without Root/Cook have Bairstow and Stokes. SA without their duo have Elgar/Markram/de Kock. India have Vijay, Rahul and Rahane NZ might be one without Ross/Kane. They anyways have weaker batting lineup either way among the big five. Yes, they drew today but that was because...

SA need an AB special to win the series.

Where would you rank AB de Villiers among greats of the game?

I think if I have to rank the four quality innings he played in last 5 tests, it would be:- 1) 126* vs Aus in PE (ATG knock) 2) 65 vs India ( lively pitch and his inning made the difference although if he would have scored a 100+ here, this would have been an ATG knock but still a great one)...

65, 80 , 71*, 74*(at 90 SR) I think this one is the best inning of the lot. The match could have been done there itself if he got out cheaply and perhaps the series too.

SA should be eyeing for a 350+ score and for that they will need one century and 2 half-centuries.

    Ross Taylor vs Hashim Amla?

Amla is rated as one of the best odi batsmen of his generation after looking at his stats only which are wayy too misleading. Obviously such comparisons will come because players with inferior averages have more impact towards the game than Amla has in odi format. Do you see me basing hatred...

    Ross Taylor vs Hashim Amla?

Amla played a very good inning no doubt but here we are comparing two innings. You cant compare a standout performance which had patience, temperament and explosiveness to the one which was a good inning but in support role.
  19. R

    Ross Taylor vs Hashim Amla?

Are you seriously comparing an inning where a batsmen was chasing 330+ single-handedly(Latham gave some support but it was completely Taylor-esque performance) while coming to bat at score of 2-2 to the one where Amla played second fiddle to de Kock who was the more dynamic of the two and took...
