Marciano's record was every bit as dominant. So too is Mayweather's. Interesting question on how Marciano would fare in the modern age of boxing? :-) Usain Bolt's 9 golds eclipses anything achieved by any athlete ever in the history of sport.

I would say cricket was fairly obscure in the 1930s. It was predominantly England and Australia with a smattering of South Africa and India. Yet another fact against Bradman's dominance.

To quote the 12th man "blow it out your a..". Yeah it was a lot tougher back in your day. I am sure it was very difficult to go and have a few pints at lunch time and clap the ball to the boundary. Everything I've said is a fact. I have not made a single thing up. If you don't like it too bad.

But that is not what we're discussing here! People say Bradman would have been just as good if not better in the modern era. Well, which Bradman are you talking about? A Bradman plucked from the 1930s and made to face the WIndies attack of the 80s? Or a Bradman born in 1990 coming through the...

No, that's what I am saying. You can't say he would be just as good if he was born in the modern era. Hell he could go through one of those training regimes they have these days, pull a muscle and never play cricket again.

I can't find anything on YouTube. Have a look around yourself. It is no secret he bowls a lot of short pitched stuff at batsman's bodies and gets them out hooking and pulling.

I have already explained both of these. But I will do so for your sake again. 1) Highlighted for you above. It is hearsay stuff and not based on facts and solid evidence. The man did not have a physique to bowl fast. He did not have the training to bowl fast. Hence he did not bowl fast by...

First and foremost I did not say Bradman's technique was terrible. I said he played well on the offside but was poor on the leg side. This is how it goes. 1) People say Bradman would be just as good, if not better, playing in the modern era as he was back in the 30s 2) I say for a Bradman born...

Again you're not understanding. People always exaggerate about how things were tougher back in the day when they were playing. This is outright GARBAGE. Things are way tougher today then they were back in whatever ****ing time. Technology has seen to that and you can say whatever the **** you...

It was ordinary but it was effective for his time. Do note that his most effective technique only got him an average of 20 odd on sticky wickets :-)

See you guys keep missing the point. Playing like they did back in the 30s they would not be able to. Who knows how'd they go if they were born in the modern era.

Here is a very good article on Bradman era myths. I don't with agree everything that written here but it does back a lot of what I've said: Busting myths about the Bradman Era: The Don?s average on sticky wickets was 20.29! - Cricket Country

*Official* Bangladesh in New Zealand 2016/2017

In all fairness Blocky, our batsmen need to bolster their averages before the next time they play someone good.

    ***Official*** Pakistan in Australia 2016/17

Australia are just too damn good right now. I so wish South Africa were playing them for these tests instead of Pakistan. It would have made for a very interesting series.

Premeditation much? I thought the greatest batsman ever in the history of the game would at least play each ball on its merit! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_cricket_team_in_Australia_in_1932%E2%80%9333#Second_Test And that's like the first ball. It's not like he was set up or something.

Stop twisting words mate. You're sounding foolish. Par for the course for many here though so you're in good company.

There is more than sufficient coverage that shows you Bradman's technique and it was pretty ordinary. If he played like that now he wouldn't last long.
