It should have been him or Maxwell in the end.

Australia's ODI overhaul in the leadup to the 2019 WC

Mad Dog Maddinson is actually someone who hasn't been spoken about much, if at all, for a reserve or even a starting spot. He's had some great seasons in the Matador Cup and is now on fire in the BBL; even with the Sixers diabolical start, he wasn't terrible then either.

    Australian Test Selection Thread 2017 - 2018

It would not have surprised me to see Richardson picked for an Australian Test squad this year to be really honest. But not this soon. More so the Zimbabwe tour if Australia do decide to take a 2nd XI squad and rest the quicks and other regular players as well in what will be a very busy schedule.

*Official* Australia v England post-Ashes ODI series

Good game to watch, simply because of what the pitch had to offer for everyone, including the bowlers. Should be more of those for ODIs. And still a pitch where batters can score heavily as they get in more, where once again England have performed better; they really do bat deep in this format.

    Tim Paine

Carey or Inglis imo stephen. But only injury will stop it from being Carey next.

    Australian Off Season 2017

I was going to mention that brockley but you beat me to it. I wasn't online on the weekend and I heard whispers that the previous high performance manager Andrew Dykes was about to get the flick. It was reported for months on end anyway that a review of all CT positions were going to get...

    Australian Off Season 2017

The Mercury reports that Michael left Tasmania to return to Queensland for family and personal reasons, so it's debatable that he was or would have been outright axed. If that wasn't the case my gut feeling told me he would have been given another year. Not surprised on the other two axings tbt.

    Australian Off Season 2017

Good lord. It's been a week or so since I read Buchanan's recommendations, but **** off to a couple of them like the potential for no Ashes Tests and extending the BBL franchises to one-day cricket too.
