    Brett Lee

Firstly, the West Indies and South Africans weren't offering too much resistance. And when in South Africa, it was Stuart Clark getting all of the top order batsmen out anyway. 26.34 is what you expect from a front-line pace bowler - Gillespie averages 26 over his career, yet it is what Lee got...

    Brett Lee

Possibly the bowler with the smallest cricket brain ever to play Test cricket. Quick, but for some reason thinks he is a giant and should be bowling bouncers all the time. Can get swing, but won't get it bowling short crap like we have become accustomed to. Last series he averaged something...

    We Want Them Ashes

Bit surprising, I'd think the Ashes would be up top, with Cricket World Cup and Rugby World Cup somewhere after that, Davis Cup and Soccer World Cup fighting it out at the bottom. But then again, if they threw the AFL Premiership in, I'd put that up top.

DIZZY - will he be dropped?

Stuart Clark took 20 wickets on very pace-friendly pitches, whereas Gillespie did them on roads (also the sub-continent IS the hardest place to tour, much harder than South Africa). I understand what you mean about the world's worst team, but it's not as if we don't know if Gillespie has what it...

DIZZY - will he be dropped?

My bowling attack would be McGrath Gillespie MacGill Warne One of the best new-ball combinations the world has seen for a long time, with support by the greatest spinner the world's ever seen, and MacGill can just be in there because it seems that Poms don't like leg spin. As much as Lee thinks...

Its 2007 and it the start of the ashes in Australia, what would be your best xi

I would pick this side: Langer Hayden Ponting Jaques Hussey Clarke Gilchrist Warne Gillespie McGrath MacGill BATTING: Langer and Hayden have to stay in there, Langer's form has been a bit iffy for a while, but he and Hayden are too good a combination to ignore. Ponting is Ponting, so he'll be...

    ICC 2005 Tracking

We only putting in generated players? I don't have an entrant as of yet, but I'm just curious.

    ***Official Australia in South Africa***

What do you mean, Katich scored at a strike rate of over 60, of course it was a flat pitch.

    Gamble selections.......

Shane Warne. Someone said before his first game "I don't know why they're playing this guy, he's just an average club standard spinner."

    ***Official*** England in Pakistan

Didn't see Bell's, but Trescothick's looked very suspect to me. Afridi probably would've done something stupid and got out next ball anyway, never thought he'd make triple figures.

Bangers and Mash: Getting up there

As the title suggests, this is a story about Bangladesh in ICC 2005, and my quest to get them up to the top. I'll just post a year at a time, because I am lazy and much rather playing the game instead of posting each game and doing 25 different analysises of the game.

What do you do to win one day games?

Well, for a start, ODIs you want your batsmen in form, Tests you want your bowlers in form. So give all of the training to the batsmen in the leadup to your ODIs. In the game I have two methods, and the second one is easier and has actually brought more success. 1) Start on three bars for the...

    Which year are u in?

What's your secret squiz, I'm not going too well at spotting young talent in the Australian ranks.

    ***Official*** Super Series

It's just too tempting to resist, I have to say it. To all of the people (English supporters in particular) that reckon Australia have won the one dayers so far because World XI have been playing badly, I'd like to point you to the Ashes threads, where there was the recurring quote: "Australia...

    Opinions on The Super Series

I see where you are coming from, but if people like Sehwag, Lara, Dravid and co. played to the best of their abilities all series, it could've gotten them over the line, no matter how much they talked to each other. Particularly in ODIs I could see a team of champions doing well, as all it takes...

    Opinions on The Super Series

As much as you all like to say this series was a joke and the team needed to gel, cricket is a largely individual sport anyway. Brett Lee getting Brian Lara out, despite being quite incredible, would've happened no matter who was at the other end. The only things that teams need to be together...

    ***Official*** Super Series

That's actually a very good point. He's a big-hitter, but can also play a slow innings when he must. Can also bowl, better than Afridi who bowls more quicker-balls than leggies

Can you recruit new international players?

Can't give you an exact figure, but takes a while to finish a season. Turn off highlights and don't do all of that technical bowling stuff - quick tip, as it doesn't help much anyway. But yes, you do pick up two new international players each year, because they only have one-year contracts.

Injured himself in the field, looks like a hamstring, couldn't run. Probably explains it.

    Dias goes crazy

I picked up Dias for Somerset, got 100 wickets several seasons in a row. Very good player.
