    The Stephen Fleming Appreciation Society

Fair enough, but Bracken got his man every 3rd game they played. Vaas had him LBW 5/28 times they were both playing. Make of that what you will. Fleming's reign was anathema to New Zealand cricket. He should never have been captain as long as he was. His batting showed little improvement...

    The Stephen Fleming Appreciation Society

    1) The countless times he started a batting collapse after looking set. 2) His inability to lead by example 3) The time he sent in Kyle MIlls ahead of himself at 3 against SA when batting looked "a bit tough". 4) Every time Bracken or Vaas nailed him LBW. Just a few off the top of my head. Long...

    **Official** England in New Zealand

Who the **** does McCullum think he is? I'm tired of commentators calling him "world class" and going on about him, when he clearly still does not have a clue if he isn't chasing a target or batting in Tests. Well done, Fleming, you've got out for the 40th time after you looked set. Don't let...

    Taylor has no offside game

It's a strange one. Taylor does have an off-side game, but he seems to constantly try to slog to mid wicket for some reason. I remember the hundred he scored against Aussie at Eden Park, and he played quite nicely on the off side with normal cricket shots. But it's frustrating to watch us bat...

    ***Official*** Bangladesh in New Zealand

Yes, 9 centuries in 13 years would certainly show that. And when has Fleming stood up and won us a Test? Not going to argue if he's "better" than Richardson, but Richardson easily made the best of his abilities between the two. If Fleming is our best player in the last decade, it says a hell...

    ****ing pathetic.

    Reverse Order Theory

First thought: No. Second thought: No. Instead of trying novel ideas, we need to develop batsmen at FC level.

Relegate implies we'd actually play Tests. We've now played two Tests in 12 months. How is playing even worse teams going to help us rebuild our squad?

26! Check out some stats on NZ openers since Richardson here. Update: And Papps is out... typical.

You can't take someone's average minus Zimbabwe & Bangladesh and then compare it to players who also play against Zimbabwe & Bangladesh. And that's what we all do. I know Ponting averages 59ish, Fleming 39. Who actually measures averages against decent opposition? No one.

Yeah, good point...Styris, Fleming, and Oram have played well against them recently.

Money on Pollock trapping Cumming LBW every time.

We haven't played a Test since December, and I can't even remember what the wickets were like to be honest (did Oram even play?). Not sure about FC.

Papps has a very solid domestic year behind him; I think that's a huge bonus not many NZ players have to fall back on. He's played well against SA in the past, and I think the time is right for him now. Interesting opening partnership we have, though... it'll be a bit of an oldschool 50/0 at...

Since the green wickets India played on against us? Yeah, probably  He's God on a seeming wicket, but he's pretty average otherwise.
