    2020/21 New Zealand Domestic Season

Or Carter and Fletcher could strike at less than a run a ball and leave it all to McConchie. 6 needed from 6... edit: and good boundary from Fletcher for the win

    2020/21 New Zealand Domestic Season

Good pace from Sears - no speed gun obv but looks rapid. Think he was lucky with the lbw v Mitchell though - looked high to me. Canterbury should still walk this - McConchie cake while others provide the modest impetus still required. Makes sense to me that more umpires would wear a helmet, or...

    2020/21 New Zealand Domestic Season

Just saw Bracewell getting sconed :-O. On the one hand that seems like awful luck, on the other it's kinda surprising that sort of thing doesn't happen more often given the way the ball flies off the #bigbats these days.

Finally some runs for Neesham - has been in awful form with the bat.

Daryl Mitchell in fine form this super smash. Hasn't started well for NZ in T20Is though could still push CDG for his spot with a good series against Oz (CDG doesn't have a great T20I record either). Similar to CDG the power off the bat looks effortless.

    let’s remember some guys

Definitely a guy. Ian Bradshaw was actually quite good at what he did, but did it in a very nondescript way.

Imagine being a discount Ian Harvey (also a guy). It's true though.

    let’s remember some guys

This thread was sitting for a week on the first cricket chat page looking so nondescript that I didn't even take a look until now. Is this thread a guy? Saw a guy the other day on some youtube cricket highlights, got that slight tingling feeling you get when you visit a recess of your brain...

    2020/21 New Zealand Domestic Season

There aren't many U25s around atm, shows that Plunket Shield sides are hard to get into right now. Several like Seifert, L Carter, McClure recently turned 26. But for U25s you're basically picking everyone, so add Smith and: J Field D Foxcroft K Clarke J Bhula Edit: J Boyle sneaks in too. As...

*Unofficial* New Zealand Black Caps Thread

If the next ODI world cup is in India that makes it much more likely that Latham retains a spot in the middle order - he was gun last time in India. Other than that it's hard to get too excited about ODIs at the moment; it's a rebuilding/reconfiguring of the side but without any road tests in...

    3rd Test at the SCG, Sydney, 7 Jan - 11 Jan 2021

Thought India had blown this match by dropping catches on day 1, but these wickets has brought the contest right back. Far more interesting for the neutral.

*Official* Pakistan in New Zealand 2020/21

Agree, gotta be grateful that both the West Indies and Pakistan have gone through the rigmarole of quarantine in order to play in NZ; thanks guys. When you're losing it sucks but it can be a silver lining to receive a strong signal about where some of your players stand, which happened here...

*Official* Pakistan in New Zealand 2020/21

yeah there are still quite a few permutations to come - while both India and Aus are favourites, SA are certainly capable of surprising Australia in a test or two, while the points table could be such that India need the full 4-0 vs England

Meet Kyle Jamieson, a 6’8 James Anderson

Was hoping someone would dig one of these up. Interestingly for NZ I haven't seen him bowl big outswingers as in the first couple of balls in that clip; I thought that would still be his stock delivery but it's not. Away movement now tends to come from the seam rather than swing. Clip shows the...
