**Official** New Zealand in Australia 2015

Kane Williamson for me is now top of that small group of batsmen comprising of himself, Rooty, Smith and Kohli who were highlighted as being potentially the absolute gods of Test cricket for the next ten years. In order:- 1.Kane Williamson. 2.Steve Smith. 3.Joe Root. 4.Virhat Kohli. I...

**Official** Pakistan and England in the UAE 2015/16

Looks like Rooty has been found out, a pretty worrying sign for England. Outside off stick, flat feet and all that.

South African wickets won't suit him anyhow, although i reckon that Imran Tahir will play a decent part in the series namely because England don't play his type well. Rashid needs to bowl with more urgency much like Yasir Shah. In SA you need a 'holding' spinner more than anything, Lyon did the...

**Official** Pakistan and England in the UAE 2015/16

A fully deserved victory by Pakistan in this series. They racked up the most centuries and obviously their spinners were a class above especially Yasir. England miss a spinner who can create any kind of pressure never mind wickets. Yes, Swanny.

The best innings Joe Root has played for England. For God's sake don't burden him with the captaincy in the summer. Give it to Ian Bell for a couple of years and then possibly consider Rooty.

    Ajmal Action Reported

Ajmal a chucker? Not a blooody chance mates. To me people are suspicious because of the pause before delivery...doesn't necessarily mean he throws it. He will be cleared.

    Ian Chappell's Latest Whinge

He is putting some revs on the ball though, just needs to bowl better lengths but that will come. His pace is a touch quicker now against Test players which shows he's learning. He may well become a specialist spinner and occasional batter....he can't handle the short ball.

Adam Lyth is certainly pushing his case to replace our currently out of sorts opener.

    ***Official*** India in England 2014

Is anyone else admiring this new brand of positive and vibrant cricket that England are playing? I must have missed it because England are on the back foot for 80% of the time in these last few home Tests. It is dreadful and shocking cricket and with that joker Moores in 'charge' (i use that...

Along with Cook, Prior needs to be ditched as well. Awful keeping and tentative batting. So Butler has said his keeping needs to come on but even now it must be better than the way Prior is keeping at the moment.

I'm afraid it is end of the line for Captain Cook. Apart from his defensive, weak and negative captaincy he is well on his way to becoming a walking wicket. He's shot, gone. England are rudderless, directionless and passive. Ian Bell? Can't see that. Is he necessarily an improvement on Cook in...

    Indian Premier League 2014

His captaincy seems to be based on extravagant huddles, much gesticulating and clapping, plenty of shouting and a minimal grasp of tactics and bowling changes. Still we all know why he's out there.
