    Having watched every ball of the past nine Test matches (in a relatively short amount of time) between these two - I’m not sure if either side is actually all that good, with Australia being slightly better overall but both teams have pretty significant weaknesses.

    After the last WTC cycle, I was hopeful india would be better, and they arguably were. After this cycle, I forsee a pretty big fall in quality and rankings. India have fallen badly (despite the wins) after the india tour of Australia.

    Getting stomped on pretty hard here. Bumrah, Pant and Ashwin really being missed. One of those by choice. Really thought india would compete for the first innings and then maybe fall apart in the second without a second spin option but this is looking like a big hiding.

    Nah you're wrong. Lot of India fans (including me) were very invested. Though I agree with your main point that it should be a home game for the #1 ranked team, but maybe giving a slight advantage for the visiting team deciding whether to bat or bowl on the track.
