I heard they had another match which Beterbiev won, but I could be wrong about that. In any case, the dude is clearly not just a brawler. It's weird to see Bivol as suddenly pronounced number one LHW, when before beating Canelo (a short middleweight with slow feet [good fighter just talking in...

For those of us already proclaiming Bivol as the number one LHW, here is a reminder that Beterbiev is not just a brawler. Dude has a spectacular jab, very good feet, and probably the scariest power in all of boxing. This is a guy who dropped and beat Usyk in the amateurs. Here he is against...

In pleasant news Benevidez Plant has been signed. Very interestinf clash of styles. Canelo vs Benevidez is far more interesting than a Bivol rematch.

Anthony Yarde can **** off too. I know, brave guy etc. Cool. But we're talking about a guy who got KTFO by the ghost of Kovalev. And you wanna put him in with frikken Beterbiev? Just no. Anything can happen in boxing and Beterbiev could get cut or injured. **** that. Just make the...

If he beats Beterbiev he's a contender for number 1 p4p. I don't really care about the canelo rematch. It's a mismatch in terms of styles and physical attributes. Beterbiev is a very difficult fight for him in terms of styles.

OK but I'm not a promoter nor am I Bivol's bank manager. Bivol-Beterbiev is one of the best fights in boxing. That's what I want to see.

Canelo again will not be interesting. Why even talk about Canelo when we need to see Bivol vs Beterbiev?

*Official* New Zealand domestic season 2022/23

if you're capable and scoring runs and consistently getting out after starts a) you're probably just not that good (probable) or not physically fit enough to push on (what I believe to be the case with Latham...although it's true I haven't tested his physical fitness...so see a) for most...

*Official* New Zealand domestic season 2022/23

He struggles against genuine 145+ pace bowlers, and on fast pitches. Needs to figure out his scoring options against quicks. He's also not physically fit enough.

Tyson Fury is now fighting a guy who was KOed in one punch by Mairis Briedis, a cruiserweight. Usyk beat Briedis. But of course, Usyk is too small.

Btw the correct way of saying his surname should be Sharr not Charr. It's only spelled Charr because of the French way of pronouncing Ch is like Sh and the Syrians and Lebanese usually transliterate to a French ear.

I already called this back a couple of pages ago. Tyson Fury is quite predictable once you know his schtick Yes plus take the pressure off making a fight with Usyk.

Yup. - should have left Barry after a couple of years and gone with a proper trainer. Probably should have actually moved his family over to the states as well. Can't get good sparring in NZ. - the friendship with Fury is just weird. Why would you want to be friends with someone who you should...

I think AJ and Wilder have enough power to KO him early, and they would deal with him the easiest of the top heavyweights. It's actually a tough fight for Usyk and Fury even. It's one thing going 5 rounds with him, going 12 is very difficult if you don't have that truly elite power.

Definitely got that one wrong haha. Joyce is a monster. Insane engine, excellent jab. A bit Foreman-esque.

I will put big money on a draw in the Fury vs AJ fight. So much money in a rematch and they'll both get to forget about Usyk. Usyk is no fool and understands this hence why he's calling for Wilder so he can at least stay relevant.

Re: GGG Something like 400 amateur fights wasn't it? And then some wars with the likes of Derevyanchenko, and Murata recently. Add in decades of sparring and yeah, if guys don't get brutally KOed they end up not being able to pull the trigger. Should retire. Has made the $$$ now.

I think he legite wants to fight AJ. He is trying to find any reason not to fight Usyk. If I was managing him I'd direct him to do the same thing.

    Boxing thread

So if Joshua fights Fury, and there's a rematch clause for Fury... ...I will be putting my money on a draw or a contentious AJ win. There's wayyyyyy too much money in the rematch, and Fury wants no part of Usyk, they're going to try to freeze him out.
