    2024–25 NZ domestic season

I genuinely don't remember that, though you may be right. Definitely the good pull shot and ability to face quick short pitched bowling was evident from the earliest videos. Shows that's a pretty good base for a batting technique tbh, while other things like playing spin better can be learned.

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

Haha, I know the feeling of looking something up on Cricinfo/cricket archive and finding I was completely wrong too. My vague recollection of Mitchell in ND's middle order is that I didn't think he was up to much, which shows what I know. I blame his Cricinfo profile pic at the time tbh.

Congrats Bruce on the 300, phenomenal innings. Seems churlish though disappointed he didn't surpass at least the second place Sutcliffe score on that list.

Sceptical about Clarkson and to a lesser extent, Foxcroft.

    NZ Domestic Selector 24/25

Yeah there's no more tests so surely vandem will run away with it. I'm still awaiting the triumphant return of Duggeh - can see he last played overseas T20s in November, wonder if he's available for CD but they're preferring others.

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

Bruce is a really fine player and might've had the potential to do something Mitchell-like for NZ, if Mitchell hadn't done it first. A similar powerful ball striker who sets the tempo. He really shouldn't have spent so much time batting down the order for CD - quite a while at 6 and then a...

    Final – India v New Zealand – Sunday, March 9 – Dubai

This match should be played somewhere neutral imo, maybe Rarotonga or Samoa

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

Rachin's bowling has been great considering he hasn't done a heap of it for NZ lately.

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

O'Rourke definitely looking the easiest to hit on this surface, perhaps doesn't have the accuracy or variations he needs yet. Give some overs to Phillips.

Santner has looked quite difficult on this surface.

Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

South Africa doing the right thing so far, though it's still a massive chase. Only half watching, could Williamson have got two hands to that chance?

    12th Match - India v New Zealand

Only just caught up with the highlights of this match. Looks like we were pretty good for 3/4 of the match and then fell away to Varun's mystery spin on a wicket with assistance - if we make the final hopefully that exposure will help. Also disappointing Jamieson was stranded shortly before his...

Brilliant innings from Hay, Canterbury just an all round good side at the moment.

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

This is a really good match, Canterbury look comfortable and Matt Boyle has started excellently, but Auckland still in it with a wicket it two.

Yeah I spoke too soon, another vital innings from Stackpole and an unexpected one from Delport too.
