Scrivens must have heard you. Despite Essex being bottom of the table, she is now 3rd top scorer behind the Lancs openers with an average of 70.

Wong completed her fifer and tons for Capsey and Schofield. This could be a cracking match.

Not that I've seen it, but 4-57 sounds encouraging for Wong. The Aussies have a good total already - going to need some batting tomorrow from England

For me, short term Beaumont in all three formats with a younger VC - Charlie Dean been mentioned of course as has fast tracking Grace Scrivens.

Her run up and action have been coached so thoroughly she's not sure where the stumps are currently. Which is such a shame. She had serious potential. I hope it all clicks for her one day

And in further unsurprising news Heather Knight sacked as Captain. The biggest issue is the lack of succession planning. NSB not cut for it, Jones doesn't want it, Ecclestone should be nowhere near it and others not guaranteed a start.

Calling Filer's C&B a 'drop' is harsh, however, the rest were fairly standard at international level especially the slip and gulley drops. Thing is, the bowling has been good by all accounts.

It's clearly a mental thing. Or the siege culture in the camp. Whatever it is, the coach must go. England are talented cricketers, but as a unit they have gone rapidly backwards since the last Ashes contest.

Agreed - I was suggesting it's down to her as to how long she wishes to continue. She is class, but has been prone to injuries of late.

I think the most disappointing thing is how far short England are from their potential. There is some quality but the basics are poor. After 3 overs there had already been wides, miss-fields and a drop. I can't see Lewis lasting beyond this series, similar for Knight, Wyatt-Hodge and as for...

This is true. Spinners put on England's highest partnership of the innings, they might have given themselves something to bowl at. Why are SA holding Kapp back?

England are going to have to bowl exceptionally well here. After their bowlers have to bat exceptionally well.
