**Official** Australia in Sri Lanka Jan - Feb 2025

When was the list time an Australian featured in our test team who'd never scored a ton or taken a 5fer in any format including FC, List A and Big Bash

Interesting take on Bradman's concentration levels.

I know it's probably already been covered, but do you consider Hammond to be around Hussain/Atherton levels? Because that's about where you'd have rank Wally if you can't accept Bradmans average

Has anyone had a worse downfall than Virat in Test cricket?

Puts into perspective how much of a failure Mitch Marshs test career was, damn

Name an overrated and an underrated cricketer

What an interesting post! Lol at how Australian domestic had produced 2 bowlers who hit 100 wickets, but not a single batsman to hit 500 runs. Really was a bowlers game back then! Unless you were WG Grace

    Can we see our warnings?

Out with the team total on 124 but it was close to feeling like an ATG innings

Would you play Keith Miller in your Australia ATG XI?

His rate of 100s proves it was more than just cashing in and stretching innings against mid attacks. He barely went more than a few games without a ton his whole career(including FC) Even in body line he still snagged a ton

Would you play Keith Miller in your Australia ATG XI?

He was double a world class bat when Hammond, Hobbs and Hutton were around. Hell, his retirement is close enough to Sobers debut that we can make a comparison there too! It's weird to accept, as yes he could get a peach first ball and get a duck, but the reality is he tonned up every 2 matches...

Would you play Keith Miller in your Australia ATG XI?

I think whatever ground Windies makes up "man to man" outside of Bradman in the batting line-up, plus arguably a stronger bowling line-up, is still not matched by ridiculous advantage a team has with Bradman at 3. If you want to say he'd average 70 today, you'd have to dock Headley down to 40 right?

Who should be next indian test captain?

Hasn't Bumrah missed more tests than he's played since debuting due to injuries? Ya can't put the armband on someone who's barely on the park

Would you play Keith Miller in your Australia ATG XI?

Like Gilly suddenly averages 10 one spot up at 6. I've always thought people put a little too much stock in "average at position x" on CW. An exception being maybe your number 5 moving to opener. But just one spot up or down shouldn't matter that much.

Would you play Keith Miller in your Australia ATG XI?

Why? Is it because his test batting record is so far below his FC batting record?

Would you play Keith Miller in your Australia ATG XI?

Any merit to Gilly at 6 and Davidson at 7? Then you can have either Lindwall and Lillee, or Warne and O'Reilly. With McGrath nailed on at 11 of course. He brings that left arm variety and batted at 7 plenty of times in tests!

Has anyone had a worse downfall than Virat in Test cricket?

Arthur Morris and Neil Harvey had fairly rotten back half of their careers which saw their batting averages halved

Players Whose Careers Ended Without Any Fanfare

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. If Lillee don't get ya, Thommo must.

Healy had apparently kicked up a bit of a stink in '97 when he was dropped from the ODI side for Gilchrist, who almost immediately excelled. He'd already gotten a year of two longer in tests than he deserved tbh, he had little to complain about In his last 16 test innings he'd been dismissed...
