Pretty similar teams, it must be said. Functional rather than things of beauty. I doubt JP Pietersen would've been able to do the job Small did on Jonah in '95 tho. That said his hit on the Fijian lock in the quarter was quite impressive.

The '95 Boks were stronger in the midfield -- Mulder and le Roux were class, class acts. Not that they got much of a chance with Joubert, Stransky and Joost controlling the ball, but defensively they were brilliant in the final. They were also stronger in the scrum. The '07 side was better in the line-out, although there was no lifting back then so it's hard to compare.
