Yesterday, I wrote an e-mail to the Rugby Football Union and the Scottish Rugby Union. Today, I received the answer: the Calcutta Cup is only contested during the Six Nations.

Should have just got the answer from Wikipedia. Tells you pretty much everything about the Calcutta Cup itself.

Wikipedia is not 100% reliable, although English Wikipedia is not that bad. Italian Wikipedia is awful: for example, the article about cricket has been written by a person who has never watched a cricket game in his / her life.

Yeah, unless we put 70+ points past the USA, then I won't be pleased. Our one chance to hammer the USA at something.

I think Kieran Richardson scoring 2 counts as being embarrassed in anyone's book.

    Wilko out of opener....

From the BBC. So bollock-crushingly inevitable I'm not even upset.

    - As featured in The Independent.

"as much a news event as an actual footballer, a worthy stop-start centre forward, but an all-time hyper-galactico when it comes to doing funny things with cars and hats, a player whose signing proves once again that the Premier League is still undoubtedly the best in the world when it comes to doing things with cars and hats."

I think England are gonna get 100+ Points on saturday. I guess the US team will be full of failed American Footballers.

Same here. Must be such a shame for all you England fans, arguably your best player keeps getting these injuries. Really it's a shame for world rugby, as I'm a bif of a Wilko fan now after seeing him on the 2005 Lions tour where he really impressed me with some tough defence, much braver than what I thought he would be.

Well we're so used to him not playing it's more like a bonus when he is playing, rather than a hit when he isn't.

Olly Barkley may be broken too now....

    From the Beeb.

Jonny's definitely out of the saffie game & now Barkley's been injured in training. As he was our last recognised fly-half one can't help but wonder why he wasn't wrapped in cotton wool.

Catt to 10, with Farrell at 12 with kicking duties if the worst comes to the worst I'd guess.
