Anyone else just hate NZ culture?

For some reason the entire team has adopted haka culture.. nothing makes me cringe more than seeing non-Maoris dance and prance like Maoris but now they ALL do it... even the professional-looking guys on TV, the cops.. all of them are wannabe natives. They are also the most arrogant and biased ****s you will ever meet.. the only thoughts going through their head are haha kiwi bro. There's no outside world.. a man in England can invent interstellar travel and will get ignored, whilst if i a man in NZ invents a new flavour of potato chips he is the greatest man in the world. They all seriously think Shaun Johnson is the greatest player in the world.

They all go to Australia then talk about how much better NZ is lol. Even when nationalism was huge back in the day, I doubt there was a single place as bad and biased as NZ is today.. and that's solely because they for some reason want to act like tribal folk instead of professional sportsmen. It's a fine example of what happens when you be tolerant and let the PC brigade take voice.. they will embarrass you, they become the status-quo and the media begin targeting them for higher ratings, so then all of the people suddenly start acting like them and all of a sudden it's a cesspool of humanity. Australia is already having problems dealing with these idiots coming here but it's only going to get worse. They spread like a virus and there has to come a point in the future when they reintroduce the ideas of eugenics and get rid of them and make them stay on their own island.

Those on the Gold Coast have tried be nice to them.. they've basically given them their own suburbs.. and you can guess the result. They are turning their suburbs into ghettos. A beautiful city being destroyed by these animals.

I can only imagine that Joe thinks it would be a shame to limit such thought provoking ideas to a single forum.

TBF we had one of these about the Welsh too, and there's not much difference between the two really.

Can't stand the haka. Frankly the constant Northern Hemisphere whining about how it gives the AB's a psychological advantage is just baffling. If your initial reaction to a bunch of grown men pulling funny faces and slapping their thighs in unison is anything other than a barely supressed sn-igger then you probably shouldn't be playing international sport in the first place.

And here I was thinking this thread might be addressing the very real problems surrounding NZ rugby culture and domestic violence but no, seems like Joe's gone off his meds again.

Good grief. Have you seen a live haka by a Maori Culture group? I take it you have growing up in NZ, struggle to see how you can have this opinion. Mustn't care much for Maori Culture.

I have, though I did kinda drift off in the middle so not sure if that counts. And yes, guilty as charged my apathy towards a boring, ubiquitous, overly commercialised ritual is indeed a sign that I'm a can't stand Maori culture. Well done for picking that one up.

What is up mate? You have been a bit off form recently - trying to shut down some meaningless "tell us about your funniest joke" thread and now getting wound up over the haka

Heh. If by trying to shut down, you mean making one post kidding about how most of the jokes belonged in the lame joke corner, then again, yup hands up, you got me.

Look, it's really very simple. As a form of expressive art, I just don't find the haka interesting in the slightest, though I recognise it as an important part of Maori culture.

As a bit of pre-game pageantry I consider it silly and boring. But obviously I'm just one person and my opinions and beliefs are as subjective and flawed as anyone else's. If you love the haka full power to you. Just try to avoid making insinuations about my attitudes towards Maori when I pop into the kitchen to make a cup of tea before the haka tomorrow morning.
