As a domestic competition it really isn't that long.

Yeah but it's not really. Domestic competitions don't effectively prevent the scheduling of any serious international cricket for their entire duration.

IPL should move to the desert too. The two leagues can play in neighboring grounds and lob each other's balls back when they cross the fence.

There are few odi series left before the WC. So the coaches actually need their full squads to prepare. You know neither board will refuse the BCCI so we will get a watered down series.
