Any reason rakheem doesn't get a gig in the T20 squad? He's a solid spinner and capable of hitting from ball 1 (albeit opening not down the order.) Feel like hede be gun

Purely fitness. They see his need to field close in and slow running between the wickets as a problem.

And that's not a problem in tests? He fields in close at slip all the time in tests.
Saving that extra five runs in the field is not quite as important in tests as in T20s, as the batsmen aren't going all guns blazing, and it's pretty uncommon to have fields without a slip in tests but normal in T20s.

Yeah this basically. Right or wrong, that's what they have decided. Polly also doesn't like him so I can't see him playing white ball cricket anytime soon.

Is Jason Holder injured?? Didn't see his name in the test squad.
Squad hasnt been announced yet. He's been excused from the training camp to get him some extra rest. Alzarri and Kraigg are also not playing the trail match because they are in quarantine after their county stints.

Doesn't seem like they did that whole "rotate the pacemen for the Tests" thing huh
Depends if Seales gets a game or not I guess.

Predictable selection given that Chemar is injured and Campbell has been awful. They're reducing it to 13 on Monday may so it will be interesting to see if they go with Hope or Powell. I doubt they'll keep Warrican, Chase or Hamilton band they'll drop one of Powell or Hope. That's my guess anyway.
