Largely agree but I'd generally like to be entertained longer than two days.

I also think rating individual pitches is hard because I don't really mind this pitch but if we had a whole five match series of them I'd probably start getting annoyed. If pitches like this are rare then they're fine, but if they're relatively common then I start agreeing with SS.
It's a largely pointless hypothetical though? Sadly we're never getting 5 pitches in a row like this.

This is almost identical to the root not out before but I don’t think he’s hit this one

Agreed, but your brain must be fried the second you get out there on a pitch like this. It's like walking on black ice. Every step is terrifying.
Root and Stokes made it look very straight forward though. That is the roughie with this track, it seems becalmed for a bit and you feel you are in and then something happens out of nowhere.

That is pad first, just like Root. But you cant give that one not out and this one out as a 3rd umpire, can you?

How is this different from the one given not-out a while ago because ball and bat were too close to call? Inconsistent, like Root complained.
