Blackcaps on cloud nine!

Blackcaps are on cloud nine after their first win in the CW FTP Championship II. They stunned BEST Indies with a 3 wicket victory.

Jason Becker, who is the MoM with splendid 111(90 balls) on a crumbling pitch single handedly won the match for Blackcaps! Coach Raghav is jubiliant after their win. Blackcaps are now placed 5th in Div I table....

Hey Tharmi, given any thoughts to Championship III? Ash's going to make us pay for friendlies on Thursdays, and Sundays are off for cup for a few teams.

I'd be willing to pay a bit for an organised comp ($3 or 4 maybe), but maybe we should cut down to one championship per league season? Could also have division two run earlier as a sort of qualifying tournament instead of current promotion and relegation - something like this

week 4 - week 8: two division two groups of six including 7th and 8th from this year's div 1 - winners of each group promote
week 9 - week 15: main championship

This has the advantage that every team has a chance of winning the championship in any given year.

Also, challenged Blackcaps. Hopefully my batsmen can get over their getting out in strange ways to Raghav complex.

Disappointed in Healhurst. Yet to record a proper matchday win in the CW Championship, and that was my big chance.

I still have 5 'gaming credits' as they'll soon be known, I'll use those on competitions as I'm not interested in renaming players.

It doesn't really matter what format you use, as it is basically one credit per team. I don't use naming credits and if there is a couple members on here that don't use naming credits we as group could fund the first couple seasons. I guess it just depends on whether there are other out there happy to spend on some money on it.

The other option is to wait until the Pavilion Cup is over and have a short cup competition at the end of season. Basically 16-team group/knockout over five weeks, like the first addition.

Really up to you guys.

Couple of corrections on that list: BEST Indies is 781 and Alternative XI is 1056. Could you please change that as it's much easier than going searching when collecting results.

Also, as said - I like the league format but think two leagues a season is overkill (though that may I admit be influenced by wanting to play in a friendly champions league next season), and think we'd be better served with a system where every entrant can win the league, so I'd like early qualifiers for a late Championship. Though if the division two teams are happier with the current format I won't stop them.

The issue with that is after week eight, half the sides will have no matches. Was thinking about a full league, with two matches per side and 14 rounds. If your going to pay for something might as well get your money worth.

Could have a second league with winner qualifying directly for next year's championship.

There not much difference between that and just having a 2nd division, as for most of the season they will be playing the same sides. Also it would be a bit harsh on the two sides that quailfied if a side they beat got a direct spot and they had to quailfy again.

If you want everyone to play to have chance of winning the best format is a 16 team cup, but that format can be done at the end of season after the Pavilion Cup and no needs to pay.
