Pretty good training update though one of my 3 capable senior bowlers dropped a level to reasonable, which is annoying. I suppose my all-rounder popping to reliable evens it out a touch. Now have 6 capable batsmen in the senior squad.

My last three weeks for the senior academy have been absolutely dire Two weeks ago I had no pops at all, last week I had this:

It's as if I have four players on training and everyone else on rest. Lewis and McLeod aren't great but they've cemented a spot in my XI at the moment with popping twice each in a consecutive week. The rest will all be whipped.

EDIT: I spoke too soon about it beign a dire week, my senior academy finally popped to reasonable

Having a cracker against the top side in my league (who are undefeated) atm.

End of over 27 (6 runs) - Ashburn CC(135-2). 141 runs required from 23 overs. RR 5.00 RRR 6.13
A. Hammersley 49 (54b) , C. Harvey 61 (72b) , N. Blades 4-0-26-0

Could still go either way but didn't even think I'd get close, espically with only one spinner on a dry track on a windy day.

Nice pops from Woodley, has skilled batting as well so he will probably fit into the starting XI now. Arrowsmith is interesting, skills are pretty low (ordinary bat and endurance, poor tech) but he's a 16yo prodigy with skilled batting so he could turn out well.

YP was pretty crap, but he's my only wrist spinner and can bowl a flipper, so might keep him.
