Playing SKD in a friendly. Smashed 400 against his side. I think that is the first time I hit 400 against a non bot.

Code:
End of over 50 (5 runs) - Jaffna Jets(403-2) RR 8.06
K. Sandanayake 58 (38b) , A. Kodikara 61 (31b) , D. Truemer 10-0-100-1
They got a new funtion, the worm. They love their little features in this game.

Also for any guys that haven't noticed we starting sign ups for new CW League next season.

Had five pops.
- A 17yo batsmen all rounder to capable batting.
- Two other 17yo batsmen to reasonable batting and a technique pop on of those guys.
- 16yo reasonable spinner to poor technique.

Only had 10 pops today

3 batting pops - Capable, Reasonable and Average
2 Bowling pops - Reasonable and Average
5 Technique pops - Reliable, 2x Average and 2 X Ordinary

My youth team now has 2 Capable bats, 3 Capable bowls, 6 Reasonable bats, 7 Reasonable bowlers. As well as an Average-Reliable. Fair gun.

Any tips on what I should be doing at the start? My best players are 'average', I've nothing better than that. Sounds pretty **** to me, so your help would be appreciated.

Better starting team then what I had TBH. Just pick whether you want to train someone as batsmen, bowler, keeper or all rounder and go from there really.

Is there any way to increase the effect of training? Do players improve better at a young age like in battrick? I've got a couple of decent youth players I think - Andrew Mace and James Smart.

Invest more in the acadmey and that increases the effect of training. But I wouldn't invest too much to start off with until your finances are settled.

Also check out the CW FTP Championship thread, we need a couple more sides to make a D2.

Heath: bear in mind that technique is pretty important - so for example Bott is near-useless. Probably best sold to some nutter who doesn't realise this.

Mace & Smart are good, but Scanes isn't too bad either, even though his fielding isn't up to it. Note that players train quicker in the youth academy, but gain more experience from senior games.

Also note that you can get better players than those pretty cheaply on the transfer market.

Just wondering how my team compares to the others on CW:

Also who should I look to train, get rid, buy and who should be my starting XI?

Haha, that's the first outstanding I've seen. Jonty Rhodes without the batting.

Saggers Mob's first XI imo:

Reid (better than any of my batsmen)
Bakker
Stenhouse
James
Blade (b5, but needs technique now!!)
+Nagel
*McLauchlan (b4)
McIlveen
Barstow (b3)
Richardson (b2)
Smyth (b1)

That is actually a pretty decent eleven, should average around 70 in ratings imo. Note that eight of your youth players don't get training as they're 19 years old, and most of them are really useless - Sellers, Randell possibly the best talents. You're wasting Sellers with allrounder though, train him as a bowler.
