AWTA, don't care if he's joking or not, it got old pretty quick.

Wow someone is taking their Olympics serious.

It is taxpayer's money (they don't have to pay it back like we suckers have to pay HECS), so we're entitled to a return on our investment.

Our decision to rest our gold medallist for the woman's 4x200m free semis really paid off then, eh? FFS. Amateurs. :@

Honestly, weirdest morning. Sullivan and Schipper underachive when we could have expected better and then the relay team and Rickard completley exceed all expectations. That's not even getting into the Trickett drama, lol.

US broke WR in the 4X200 males by 4.28 seconds
Aus broke WR in the 4X200 females by 5.78 seconds.

Incidentally a race the US have never lost, until now.

Take that ya yank :p
The females are a full 1.5 seconds better than the males...good job girls!

Will be interesting to see how much Phelps held back in the 100 'fly. Apparently his heat swim was his 2nd fastest time ever and he was beaten. That said, he'll probs come out and win by a body lenght or 3 in the semi/final.

Our commentators are terrible. In one heat of the 100 Butterfly one of them called the wrong result, and then in the next heat neither of them noticed that a New Zealander was leading until about 15m out.

"Oh that's Swanepoel going well in lane 1!"

He did go well, btw. Qualified 9th fastest, pretty pleased with that. He'll be better in London 2012.

Haha, was kinda hard not to notice considering he's the closest swimmer to the screen. Is Swanepoel in his 30's though? Was sure I heard Bruce saying he was 32...(could've been someone else..)

Nah I think he's early 20s.

Nice swim there by Ingram too, 8th fastest with a new NZ record.
