    Mobile Phone help needed

Yesterday evening I found I had left my phone on the bench outside... In the rain.. Whopee....

I dried it off a bit, and it worked fine all evening, however at night it became really sluggish and gave up on me... It now will not turn on at all!!

Bit stupid, but is there anything I can do that may help get it bacK?? I cant afford another phone!!

Take the battery out and let it dry, otherwise it may fry (the battery).

    Give it a few hour's.

Put it in the oven at a low temperature.

(Just so you know, I'm actually kidding there. One of friends did that and it properly toasted the phone )

Take the battery out of the handset immediately. Electricity increases the rate of corrosion.

Completely disassemble the unit, completely dry it out( no hair dryers or microwaves !!), remove any corrosion manually and use a corrosion inhibiting fluid( Compenol, I think) to prevent the formation of more corrosion.

Also try wringing out all the water....

Seriously, we can safely say that your battery's fried.....SIM will probably make it all right. Dry out the phone for a couple of days and check with a different battery.

if it still doesnt work, take it to a repairshop.

Assuming you don't have it insured, of course!

    Here's something weird.

I switched off my mobile this evening to charge the battery, but little did I know that it would be never switched on again.

Have been trying to switch it on since the last three hours, but God knows what's gone wrong.

I didn't drop it, didn't put it in water, didn't fiddle with it, and still it had to do this to me.
