    How superstitious are you?

Itís Friday 13th - or soon will be or recently was.

It means nothing to me, nor does any nonsense about ladders, black cats or broken mirrors.

Like ghosts, I don't believe in them but they will affect how I behave.

Quite a lot, as my posts in the match series determine.

Not in the slightest. Ghosts aren’t real, there is no such thing as luck, when we die we’re just dead and there is no afterlife, also there is no God. I’m genuinely very fascinated by these things though and how they impact people and culture, but also how they’re like a form of ritualised storytelling we use to explain the unknown and things that are hard to think about.

    Not very.

Only real superstition I have is always telling the time accurately, never rounding either up or down. I would always say 3:57 as opposed to about 4 for example

Don't believe in ghosts but still get scared of creepy ****.

During NS there was this dude in my platoon who claimed he kept something called a Toyol (look it up). He'd make tea for it in the morning, pray to it, randomly cry at night and do all sorts of weird ****.

Gave me the chills, even if I didn't believe it.

It's my wedding anniversary today, and the original date was a Friday too.

So draw your own conclusions one way or another.

Did the cricket go deep enough to spoil the roast?

One-dayers were probably still going on, but the Ashes ended late August that year.

2013 it was. i remember being delighted that the best man booked my stag weekend in between the 4th and 5th Tests

I meant last Sunday when there was talk of the chef having to serve up in front of the TV.
