3 episodes watched, not fun watching, but worth watching, very good.

Have downloaded all available episodes, and did so with the intention of a binge watch, however, I found it just too bleak to watch in one sitting so I'm breaking it up over a few days.

I don't know whether it's because I remember the incident or that it brings back those semi-forgotten memories of growing up in an era where you woke up each morning to see what, if any, sort of event or escalation might have some effect on turning the cold war hot. When you look back on it, the cold war must seem pretty alien to those who've grown up after it ended. There's always threats and worries, I suppose. It's just a very different world these days to what it was back then.

Yeah, one of them was even still working in the nuclear industry as of a couple of years ago!

"Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later, that debt is paid."

Is that from something else? Good line.

I'd really liked it up until this point, but the last episode is next level. Incredibly powerful and brings everything together wonderfully.

I just want to give Legasov a hug. What a guy.

many historians do not deny that on the day of the explosion an agent of the enemy’s intelligence services was present at the station
It’s be hilarious if it wasn’t using a humanitarian tragedy for such a nakedly cynical agenda.

“Wy aren’t these people, who live in a world that’s never experienced a serious nuclear accident, reacting in the same way I would, living in a post-Chernobyl/post-Fukushima world?!”
