    Gay Marriage: Revisited

In 2012 there was an OT thread/poll about gay marriage.

    Gay marriage views?

Most were in favour of gay marriage. However, some, namely Smali, Zorax, and some bot, voted for the "homosexuality should be banned" option on the poll.

Would be curious to see how their views, if at all, have changed over time.

Seeing Silentstriker argue in favour of something you agree with must be like what NZ rugby fans had with Jonah Lomu. Brutal but you can't help but admire it.

Why should gay people be the only ones to be happy?

Marriage sounds like a dumb idea generally but I don't think gay people should be excluded from having the choice.

Shouldn't the correct term be: LGBTPQ?

Can only assume itís an autocorrect from cabbage. Cabbage is pretty good.

One of those foods that is nice when done well/properly. But sadly my views on it will always be tainted by the way it was incorporated into school dinners during the early years of my education. Dreadful.

    Done wrong it is:

The thing is the marriage done right is absolutely the foundation of society. It provides a framework for raising the next generation. It gives you a different perspective that changes you and grows you in a way that no other relationships can.

The exclusion of others is liberating - you don't spend as much time worrying about *** or being jealous or wondering whether you can do better or whatever. You have a kind of sexual security emotional security you can't really get otherwise.

*** isn't everything - it's the beginning. It's a grand adventure and is a hell of a lot of fun most of the time.

This is somewhat contentious, I would suggest. I think I see what you are getting at, but the implication appears to be that there can be no good society without marriages, which imo is a false position.
