    Paper Straws

Yeah, I know plastic straws are incredibly bad for the environment etc.

But paper straws are just crap.

So glad living in the third world I don't have to encounter rubbish like water cones and paper cups.

    Citation needed.

Properly disposed of straws have very little environmental impact.

Nice of you to start this thread on a night where I had an encounter with paper straws. Yes they are complete crap.

Harsh has already completed this thread with the highest IQ posts possible on the subject. Lock this down.

Give up straws, god gave you a mouth and if he wanted you to drink with a straw he'd have given humans a proboscis. On their face I mean.

She said she wanted to suck on it, and confidently slurped on the Sno-Cone she had just wrestled away me. It wasn't a paper straw; the ones that had an extendable 'neck'.

I'm stuggling to think of a scenario beyond 'fancy cocktail' where I might need a straw. Even if I cared about germs on the bottle, I'm a big boy to can drink from a glass without spilling it everywhere. Or at least for the first few hours in the pub anyway.

There's something satisfying about drinking coke in a straw in fairness.
