If you like Jordan Peterson, but also like integrity

This guy did series of lectures in the "maps of meaning" style a couple of decades ago. Even though he comes from a similarly conservative perspective as Peterson (he's essentially a Jewish theologian), his talks are more rooted in true academic understanding and are thus far more informative and (to me) interesting. He seems to have really done his due diligence, having apparently learned Babylonian, Sumerian and Egyptian writing, and is able to draw from other academic sources such as linguistics, archaeology, anthropology and biology in an accurate and more importantly, relevant manner (i.e. no lobsters).

I find the "cradles of civilisation" talks to be pretty good short breakdowns of ancient civilisation. He also does talks on the epic works such as Gilgamesh, the old testament, the bible, as well as historical and empire breakdowns such as Jewish-Catholic relations, Islamic-Christian relations, the Assyrians etc etc etc

Go to youtube and watch Joe Rogan's podcasts with Randall Carlson and Graham Hancock. You'll thank me later.
I am proud of this post.

Randall Carlson is an American architect, geological theorist, and anthropological theorist. He is a proponent of the Younger Dryas impact hypothesis

It's been thoroughly, thoroughly debunked. Hendrix is correct to describe it as pseudoscience.

That too, but yeah if your claim to fame is being an enthusiastic proponent of known nonsense then I'm gonna do something else with my time.

Ancient history, archaeology and anthropology is fascinating enough already. There's no need to bring unsubstantiated theories into it.
