Yeah this is a good one too. Written like the dad has never had *** in his life. It's hilarious.

Not really podcasts, but listen to the BBC's shows Analysis, the Inquiry, and the TMS uploads.
Also like Revolutions and Hardcore History.

Joey Diaz's podcasts are great too. Guy has a great voice for podcasts/standup.

    At the moment I'm on:

Various JRE podcasts (man does he put out a lot of content)
    PotP
    Radiolab (and affiliates)
    Some of Dave Rubin's stuff
    Some of Jordan Petersen's stuff

Various gaming podcasts for the rest. Haven't really found one I liked enough to stick with.

Peterson's really interesting when he touches on stuff he knows as a clinical psychologist, and just generally anything outside the college campus/sjw talk. It's not that he doesn't have some valid points there, it's just those conversations have been done to death at this point. When he's in Man's Search for Meaning-esque mode he's one of my favourite people to listen to.

Easy Allies is a decent gaming podcast. It's a bit of a shame that their main show is more of a news show, so there's only really surface level analysis on any given topic. Their 3ish hour frame trap (their more in depth stuff) has one of my least favourite members of the group, so I don't get to enjoy that as much as I'd like.

    - he just interviewed a bloke who had written 50 Songs That Shaped Australia, or similar title, and I was surprised how many bands I'd never heard of; has inspired me to look into them

Crazy that these guys get 40k on Patreon a month. I didn't think they'd be getting half that.

I've just decided to pick up on Gerard Whately's radio show being podcasted as there's not much (decent) AFL content around.

His series on WW1 is seriously good. Having said that I find that his delivery style starts to get really annoying after a while.

I actually don't mind the Fox Footy one, but it's a bit full of hot takes with good old Tommy Morris, Riley Beveridge and JDS about. It's also about 20mins long if you listen to it at 1.4x speed like I do haha.

Ive spent enough time around TM before he became a journo to find his manner too annoying to listen to.

Rocket Eade has just started one up talking about each weekend which I think would be good seeing as he has no ties to AFL clubs now but he does it with Mark Stevens which I think Id find hard to bear.

Last year Id have to go through SEN Run Home to get the Pure Footy clips, they were great but now Id have to deal with Andrew Maher hosting them. Theres just so many dislikable media people in the sport, any product is bound to feel contaminated.

Yeah that's the one I'm listening to now. I didn't know much more than the basics and it's equal parts fascinating and horrifying. Planning on going through Wrath of the Khans next.

If I have a minor complaint (and it is minor) it's that he occasionally repeats himself in a short space of time. For example, when he's telling the story of Rasputin he talks about the total power the Czar dictates at least 3 times in the buildup.

    It's a minor quibble though.
