You're very forgiven. I thought it was an appalling film.

Rogue One made Vader look more badass in a few seconds than the creators have made Kylo in two movies.

Confession time: I never bought into this evil darth vader character, his helmet and costume is way too comical for me to take him seriously. Who designed that thing?

Just saw it. I thought it was okay, but I enjoyed TFA more. It was significantly too long and felt a bit disjointed. I quite liked the story in some aspects and it was quite different to what I expected.

As someone that has only ever had a fleeting interest in Star Wars, I decided to go watch it for free so I can keep up with the memes. I generally get bored by these movies but this one kept me entertained throughout. Might be the best in the series from that perspective.

There were 3 different stories being told at the same time The island/force plot was awesome. Really no complaints there. The cat and mouse chase plot for the resistance was good with some very good scenes. But the Finn/Po/Rose side plot was weakest point of the movie. They could've done without the casino scenes altogether. Del Toro's character does absolutely nothing of substance. Po just annoys me. He was responsible for so many rebel deaths.

Anyway, like I said, probably my favorite in the series aside from ESB, and much more entertaining than TFA.

I can see it TBH. All this death and destruction but no one significant dies. Chewie spends the whole movie being comically annoyed by the cute critters instead of showing even a single emotion or somehow acknowledging his closest mate's death from a few weeks ago. It's the kind of stuff Disney gets criticism for in Marvel movies as well.

Ah, so the latter. I thought by "Disneyfied" he meant "made for kids", which it clearly wasn't compared to any other SW movie other than Rogue One.

I enjoyed parts of Rogue One, it was more graphic cold and at times elements of horror, still not what I would expect from a typical Star Wars movie.
Makes me think well hold on, there was potential there and it was missed. How about Han Solo and Chewbacca how did they meet, what about Boba Fett the famous bounty hunter, just little stories which could have made for a more interesting movie.
As for The Last Jedi haven’t seen it yet, suppose the most disappointing thing in The Force Awakens was the fact it was almost the Death Star again. Why does The Empire even The First Order need this capability when they kind of rule the galaxy anyway, seems very pointless.
