I guess this thread is dead now,bar religious jokes and inuendo.
Just wish you guys took it seriously.
We could have had some interesting responses.
Maybe we could have educated you all there is a spiritual realm or 4th dimension.
Mays well close the thread then.
There is the official religious discussion thread that has a better standard of discussion. I don't know what you could have expected from such a thread. By it's very nature the topic is subjective and to talk about any such experience will just be like a 'that time i was tripping out' story. It can only serve to portray the writer as a bit off his tree. If you wish to take a shot at making a case for the spiritual, it can never be from personal experience.....unless you are going to bring along some miracles with it. Miracles have always been the standard that non believers demand. Just ask Jesus.
nah, anecdotal "miracles" also don't work for most non-believers...
oh i already believe in the spaghetti monster, they are real alright...
Maybe I am a bit naive Victor.
I thought this thread, could get some inspiring stuff up.
The religious thread by looking at it,looks like a beating up on ppl religious,no matter what faith.
I decided to try something new,and sorry I was naive.
On miracles known ppl who were not religious and were healed of cancer.1 was in his final stage of cancer,he was a hippy.
On 1 miraculous experience a friend a pagan, asked me should she have her baby. She had nearly bled 2 death twice.
All her friends said no.
I naively I guess yes yes,and I prayed for her.
She took a step of faith brave woman, and had 2 healthy children.
The problem with prayers, as far as evidence goes and ignoring the subjectiveness of it all, is that if your a praying person, then you probably pray about everything. Are you counting all of the fails as well. Perhaps you ignore them because God has a greater plan. Maybe he wants some of the cancer deaths to be with him... who really knows?
From what I understand, miracles are a dangerous thing. If you ask for a miracle, and it is given, then you are stuffed if you ever misbehave again because you have received compelling truth.
As for non believers, they have historically brushed miracles aside as magic or evil spirits. Either way, it is a weird way to discard belief, because surely magic or spirits in themselves are evidence of the metaphysical. The modern way is to call it coincidence. You can never really prove it wasn't coincidence.
And what are you talking about? Non believer is not necessarily an atheist, but even as it stands, this was the standard answer to miracles when they were brought to the people. It just highlights that even if a denier of god is given a tour of heaven and earth, that a haters gonna hate.

You can't provide proof unless you get the person and they show printed documents to show they had a miracle.
Thats just plain stupid.
I know their are organisations that docment miracles.
The case of Rhinhard Boenke,he has all his miracles being investigated. And its all come back positive. He has even had cases of ppl who return back from the dead, verified.
For me to find proof is impossible.
Just know these are cases where prayer helped.BTW the 2 cancer ppl I know, and they told me of their miracles. They converted to christianity after the miracles.
