    Ruining? Or making better?

What if psychedelics are the pathway to the divine and the authorities keep you from them to stop you from experiencing the wonder that heaven has to offer?

I got to Everest Base Camp once. That whole trip was a pretty religious affair for me.

Cheers!. Hoping to get on top of Kilimanjaro one of these years. Climbing a mountain is usually pretty spiritual - I find - at least.

Everyone (including Adders ) has religious experience. I think (hope) brockley's intended question was about spiritual experience.

Whenever we do something with our brain to shift our focus from mundane reality (e.g. meditation, drugs, or sometimes even alcohol or dreams) - we have 'unusual' experiences. If we perceive at least some of those 'unusual' experiences as spiritual or divine, that's upto us. Meditation is a great example. I have practised the right kind of meditation for some time. I did it as a mental workout (to help me from stress and anxiety), not as prayer. And I have encountered such experiences, which other people may call divine or spiritual.

CPR I am not using this thread for preaching.

    Just interested in ppl's experiences.
    Ok I will give one.
I was in worship and looked in the spirit, and saw a dove come down flapping its wings. It was a ghostly figure.
The dove is said to represent the Holy Spirit.
Being in worship is an ecstatic experience.
