    Fiction

I would post this in my lounge but god damn I want a poll.

This thread is not intended for dickswinging and the intellegensia to attempt to impose some form of moral superiority on the rest of the thread. Basically, Jono is as welcome here as anyone, so bear that in mind, you ****s

I was wondering what the favoured options for the various forms of fiction are for y'all? Quite simply, which do you enjoy most. I know it's a bit open-ended because mood and various other factors will play their part day to day. But if you were restricted to one medium to enjoy fictional content for the rest of your life, which would it be.

    I'm thinking:

    - Books
    - Films
    - Television
    - Theatre
    - Cricket involving Amir

Someone might tell me I'm not with the times and have missed an obvious option. I don't care. These are your choices. Vote, discuss, then go post about whatever the topic of the day is in GIMH's Lounge

    Cheers

Out of those listed, it's books easily for me. There's a time and a place for all, but I don't think any reach the level of enjoyment I get from reading something that's really captivating.

However, I think there's an argument that video games (of a certain variety, at least) belong in the discussion.

Physical book or e-ink. Anything else is a compromise.

This looks eminently awesome. Can't spend so much right now on it, but on the list for sure!

Depends. Generally speaking a book will be better than the film adaptation - very few exceptions to that. Television can go either way versus a film of the same material - quite often tv series draw things out for far too long compared to a decent film (American series are very much guilty of this - c.f. House of Cards (the book) versus House of Cards (the BBC TV film) versus House of Cards (the US TV series).
