Anyone caught up in NZ Floods?
Has anyone been caught up in the Lower North Island Floods? Thankfully my house is ok as we don't live near a river! Here's a few pics from www.nzoom.com. 100+ million clean up and we're forcast for even more heavy rain this afternoon

Not so bad but Shrewsbury have had shedloads of floods and the very recent ones (like a few weeks ago) were pretty bad. Not a patch on those ones though. Not fun.

Where my dad lives they have had some bad floods. His house is built on poles so its about a metre and a half off the ground. But last flood the water was just about going in the door. There are all these pics of people going round his house on kayaks!

Can we swap the heat of the Gold Coast for some of the rain in NZ?
