Oh man, Cafe Coffee Day was all that got me through my trip to India. I'm sorry, but your entire country cannot make a decent cup of coffee at all; this Starbucks-esque stuff was the best we found.

And we spent a lot of time in various CCDs.

This feels like Deja Vu. You don't drink coffee anywhere in the subcontinent. We will however redefine tea for you.

I need a script that posts the words 'A fresh cup of tea' in this thread every 45 mins or so.

Hey I didn't fancy the coffees of Europe for the first few months either, expensive and gourmet as they may have been. Some of the filter coffees in India are absolutely top notch though. Have a try next time

Although it's true that only CCD is present everywhere in the country. The better chains like Costa Coffee are only present in select metropolitan areas. Starbucks also has 64 outlets now, last I checked.

One doesn't go to a franchise outlet for proper coffee in India. The best coffee's to be had at the random filter coffee and tiffin restaurants in the south.

And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

Yea. I actually got some filter coffee from India when I last visited. Came ground inside a sealed filtered bag. All you had to do was open it, pour hot water through, and enjoy. Was sooo good.

But of course it was CCD who was selling them lol. And this was in Jaipur, so I'm guessing it would be better in the south.
