heh, ive posted about his siggie elsehwere and i have a dynamic ip and also use a anonymizer, so all it gives me i is a big red X too. :]
and rich, theres nothing to be worried about, it doesnt log the ips The server knows those things because of the protocol. IP address is the easiest: the server must know where to send the data. ISP is easy too. Just run a whois on the ip address. Browser recognition is easy too ... browsers send an identification string to the server so that the server could take the browser into account. Wrap all this data in a (for example) php script that produces an image .. voila. :]

Internet Explorer is the easiest, since you only have to take the Browser version into account, you are hardly likely to find IE6 on a computer running Windows 98... With Netscape, it asks you during setup which version of Windows you have and then installs the correct version.
