Do any CWers have "ink", as one understands you apple-cheeked yoofs call tattoos nowadays?

I seem to have hazy recollections of a tattoo thread here previously and only Piper having any. Felt we all failed a bloke test that day.

I don't, ftr. At my age if I now got any it'd scream midlife crisis.

I don't; have never seen the appeal. Just don't get the logic behind them at all.

Actually had a conversation with someone the other day who seemed mystified as to why I wouldn't want one. More and more people seem to be getting them though, so perhaps the weight of popular opinion is against me on this one.

I agree. It doesn't matter how 'tasteful' the tattoo is I still find them ugly and extremely unattractive on women no matter where they've stuck one.

However, that's not the point. Having preconceived ideas about someone for any reason is rarely a good idea, and often causes us to either overestimate, or undervalue that person. It is always better to keep an open-mind because the very best people are not always the most obvious.
I am often asked who was the best, fastest or toughest bowler I ever faced and I quite enjoy giving different answers every time. Well, it keeps me amused anyway –but the underlying point is that one could revise this whole list on a daily basis and never really be right and never really be wrong - DAVID GOWER

I don't think that the assumed prejudices of the worst people are the best basis for an employment criteria and it's reasonable to expect the law to do something about it.
Thing is the employers are not wrong. This happens enough for them to make business decisions to conform to their customer's prejudices. For example in phone support industry, there is often training on accent for Indian call centre industry when they talk to American, English and Australian customers. I have some exposure to how these businesses are run and this prejudice is a big issue.

Never been interested in having a tattoo but even if I wanted one I wouldn't get it. Too much of a pussy to go through the pain.

Blimey, that's quite something. I have a 34 inch waist and consider myself to be as thin as a rake as it is!
