Loving all the commentary on FB from people impatient to move onto the next thing to be upset about.

"How do you totally lose such a huge jet?!!"

Huge is a relative term. It's a 100' long jet which has (probably) broken up into many smaller pieces and been dispersed over an area encompassing a few hundred square kilometres. It's in a fairly busy part of the world with 50+ boats out there + aircraft looking for it and they still haven't seen it yet people are acting like they're not trying hard enough. Christ people, you go out with a canoe and ****ing find it.

Can't say I'm surprised considering the lack of attention people seem to pay to my passport when I'm travelling.

Asked to clarify the appearance of passengers on stolen passports, Rahman bizarrely suggested they looked like the black Italian footballer Mario Balotelli.
Indians can't bowl - Where has the rumour come from as I myself and many indian friends arwe competent fast bowlers ?

With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left

To add to this, worth remembering that Silkair suicide flight from the mid-90's which crashed in a similar part of the world, the Musi River in Sumatra. People saw exactly where it crashed and it basically nose-dived so you'd expect the debris field to be roughly the size of the aircraft and dug into the shallow riverbed yet a reasonable amount of the plane still had time to be washed into the Java Sea along with the vast majority of the passengers, never to be sighted again.

Doesn't bode well for this finding this plane if it's crashed in the open sea. Tough job, glad I'm not doing it.

Top Cat shocked that his FB friends don't read his aviation thread on CW.

A few years ago, small number of Chinese citizens in a western province staged a protest and demanded the creation of a separate muslim state

Cut a long story very short, within a few hours all the protesters had been tried, convicted and executed for treason

Cant see the US embracing China's attitudes in this regard tbh
