    Russians are mad

Yep, they showed on the news just recently that to celebrate a Russian Orthadox Church X-mas holiday, they showed people living in Moscow jumping in some water in a river/lake in -15 degrees!

To top it off they roll around in some snow in their underwear.

Erm...drill a hole in the water, then jump in? Water is always warmer at the bottom...

I did it in Finland 2 years ago.. You have a long Sauna, then run directly to the nearest lake (usually right next door) and jump in...

They say its good for your health, I didnt think so when I came out of the water with a splitting headache..

There's been a group of people who dip in the sea on Christmas Day in England for years (at Brighton or Dover or somewhere like that), also a bunch of bozos who do the same in the Serpentine in London.

It's supposed to be invigorating, to speed up the circulation of the blood and so on.

    But yes, they are barmy.
