Well when there were no posts for a few days I figured the noms were done. :/

I still haven't closed nominations mind. So we can still include an extra battle of 8 or two if you want to keep nominating.

Firstly, your link for Bleaching Sun goes to the video for Men at Work's Down Under. So I can only assume that people looked the video up for themselves?

Anyway, I've watched them all and I would comment:

Down Under - Men at Work - Far too literal for my liking. It's basically act out the lyrics of the song. I'm willing to forgive it given it dates from the earlier days of music video.
Bleaching Sun - The Phoenix Foundation - Any video featuring Lou Vincent and Dion Nash and some of the dodgiest bowling actions committed to celluloid has to be worth something?
Hungry Like The Wolf - Duran Duran - Typically over produced video from them, really. God knows how much their videos cost to make but he makes an awful Harrison Ford, does Simon le Bon
Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm - Yeah, don't really get the fuss for this. It's a pretty basic premise, nothing groundbreaking, nothing particularly flashy.
Thriller - Michael Jackson - Urgh. The opposite to the one above, but really so far opposite that it feels a little forced. If you want to make a film, make a sodding film.
Hey Mickey - Toni Basil - Awful in every way imaginable.
Freak on a Leash - Korn - Hadn't seen this before. Has a bit of everything - quite stylish, the slowed down explosions, the anime style scenes and then the play with light on the band. Quite liked this, though the song was never my cup of tea and still isn't.
Smack My Bitch Up - The Prodigy - It was pretty bloody daring at the time, given the track was already getting a lot of stick from the reactionary media - to couple it with a supposedly X Rated video was marketing genius.

    Anyway, my votes:

    Freak on a Leah
    Smack my bitch up
    Bleaching Sun
    Down Under

Supporting Petone's Finest since the very start - Iain O'Brien
Adam Wheater - Another batsman off the Essex production line
Also Supporting the All Time #1 Batsman of All Time Ever - Jacques Kallis and the much maligned Peter Siddle.

Can I just withdraw my vote for Thriller?

Only made it in case I had to vote for 4 vids for my choices to count.

Can I nominate AFFCO by the Skeptics?

Hadn't seen some of those before (NB. The Safety Dance link seems to be to Weapon of Choice)

    Anyway, my votes:

    Just
    Intergalactic
    Weapon of Choice
    Blue Orchid
