    Favourite Car Brand

    Fords Rule

Now as you can half tell by my user name (us Aussies here will know about what cars I'm talking about), one of my favourite Fords has to be 1971 Ford XY Falcon GTHO Phase III

    Engine: 351ci (5.8L) V8
    Body: Four Door Sedan
    Power: 270 - 290 kw
    Torque: 515Nm

Only if the 1972 Ford XA Falcon GTHO Phase IV was produced, what a car that would that been!

    Engine: 351ci (5.8L) V8
    Body: Four Door Sedan
    Power: Around 300kw
    Torque: Around 540Nm
Top Speed: 170 mph (273 kph) :wow:

Some of my all time favourite Fords

    1969 Ford Boss 429 Mustang
1970 Ford XW Falcon GTHO Phase II
1971 Ford XY Falcon GTHO Phase III
1972 Ford XA Falcon GTHO Phase IV
2000 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra R

I can't go past the beautiful style and handling of a BMW. Im a sucker for style and luxury, I love posh and stylish things and a BMW would fit me all over.....

I have a Ford Falcon (Australian Model) 1999 Model however!

    My favourite car brands:

    1. BMW
    2. Porsche
    3. Mercedez

    My favourite car brands (affordable):

    1.Honda - I love the japanese car's too, I absolutely adore Honda's.

    2. Ford - If anybody asked me 'Ford v Holden', Ford would be my answer

    3. SAAB - Just fits the affordable category....since its not as expensive as a Porsche.

I dont have a favourite to be honest.

Jaguer's (sp) I like because they sponsor Inter and Honda because they support my favourite NRL club Melbourne.

    Ferrari's look good as well.

    I see you're a German car fan.
Though yes the Germans do make good quality cars which look good.

Also they are darn lucky that they have autobarns, unlike here in Australia.

Im a fan of cars that are spacious and simple, therefore I detest some of the rot that gets driven around in the UK...I also dont intend on learning to drive unless i have to, apparently my part of the country has the worst roads in Europe.

    1. BMW (weve got an old 5-series, its old, its big, done loads of miles, guzzles gas, but it runs like a dream)

    2. Toyota 4X4 Series Landcruiser and Pickups .. Again Big, get lots of them down here because you need a land cruiser to drive yourself out of the potholes...

    3. Holden Monaro (Pity they are calling the thing a bloody vauxhall here) Vauxhalls are common, not special...

    4. Ford Falcon/Holden Commadore - Our aussie friends in Campbelltown, NSW have these, and they are lovely

I'd get my Hyundai Pony fixed up! Better engine and replace all old components! It's so easy to drive and I love it.

Gees you poms and four cylinders, I feel sorry for you.

You are missing out on real cars, big capacity V8's like we have in Australia for normal prices and these are every day sedans not sports cars eg. 2003 Ford BA Falcon XR8 with a 5.4L DOHC V8 good for 260kW (349hp) of power and 500Nm (369ft/lbs) of torque.
Or if you look into the past, a 1971 Ford XY Falcon GTHO Phase III with its 5.8L OHV V8 good for 291kW (390hp) of power and 515Nm (380ft/lbs) of torque. It was back then the worlds fastest production sedan! Gees I saw one go by the other day and the car has a really loud and lovely V8 rumble (back in 1971 there was no pollution or noise restrictions) which can be heard from real far away!

Price of fuel, care for the environment, a 70 mph speed limit and the thought that a big engine (for some) just might be a substitute for a deficincy elsewhere are the only things which prevent me from agreeing with you.

And the dangerous puny roads around here mean a lot of people drive small cars..

" Oh, okay we will go around"

How does that make him an idiot?

Holdens suck, they would fall apart if they had to drive on the roads where I live, let alone fit in those narrow country lanes!

I love my car, 5 door hatchback (only one of the back doors is mashed in so it requires quite a slam), it's small for a 5 door and small cars in country lanes rule. Also got it up to 80+ on the motorway, but she's done nearly 100,000 miles so I didn't want to push her too hard!

She's called MEU by the way, last 3 letters of the number plate. Strange that, a Pony that's called MEU
