Found battrick through a google search for online cricket management games. Found cricsim through battrick. Found CricketWeb through cricsim.

Began forumming when I was a lonely kid playing Civilization II. Saw some Aussies on there talking about cricket and decided to find a forum to work out what kind of sport this nuttiness was. Stuck around.

I used to go on big footy at work a lot. Then worked banned it. So I had to find something else that killed the time.

I was on cricketgames.com for a while because of my ICC addiction. Found out about cricketweb through Wisden Cricket Monthly (as it was at the time) and came here. The fun never stopped. Very proud of what I think is a record low posts per day ratio for someone with more than 1000.

Thought I could write better than Pickup, and so decided to join the staff, and then the forums.

In all seriousness though, it was so long ago that I don't even remember. :O

IIRC, it was James promoting the website on another cricket forum - perhaps cricketgames.com - that originally led me here.

I've got a funny feeling that finding Pickup's OD simulator via a google search alerted me to this forum.
