I think I was Googling for cheats for Cricket 2002 on the old PS2 and found CW, was impressed with the level of cricket knowledge, lurked a bit and took the plunge.
Cricket Web's 2013/14 Premier League Tipping Champion

    - As featured in The Independent.

"The committee discussed the issue of illegal bowling actions, and believed that there are a number of bowlers currently employing suspect actions in international cricket, and that the ICC's reporting and testing procedures are not adequately scrutinising these bowlers."
    - Even the ICC's own official press release thinks things must change

Same. I was sick of the English media and wanted to rant about how over-rated England were. This was just before SA toured in 2008.

I needed to discuss cricket with other people because no one in my social circle was interested. Typed cricket forum on Google, and was directed to CW, Indian Cricket Fans, PakPassion, and Cricforum. PakPassion and ICF were just too extreme and cricforum was good but not enough discussion. Decided to lurk a bit here and then I joined after a month or so.

I actually joined looking for recommendations for a cricket game. Didn't find much here so joined PC and eventually bought Cricket 2004. Both join dates were around the time the '04 Champions Trophy took place so I started posting in CC pretty much right away here while defending Inzy the greatest captain since Imran Khan, and on PC looking for Cricket 2004 patches.
    RIP Craigos

You and several others, I recall. None of whom had much of a grasp of punctuation or grammar.

My 13-year-old brother's friend told me about it, a very long time ago, when James' interview process was "do you want to be a writer?" and "do you want to be a mod?"

I've now been on CW for longer than most of the boys I'm now coaching have been alive... and that's a depressing thought for the day.

Most of them probably were Sledger in some form or another.

Had a good 2/3 year hiatus then for some reason starting posting properly in about 2009.

Found the site looking for cricket games. Just randomly lurked onto the forum one day six years ago.

    True story.
