Why on earth would that matter?

Anyway, not the most impressive or inspiring console launch I've ever seen, that much must be said.

Yeah, unless they impress me with some actual exclusive games at E3 my money will be going Sony's way. I don't care about Netflix, Hulu Plus, whether I can control it with my voice or fantasy football. Things I also don't care about: Timed DLC for CoD, a Halo TV show directed by Spielberg, NBA Live 14 (lol).

So basically, nothing that they showed at all interested me. We'll see how E3 goes.

What I am curious about is dcye's views on the sale of second-hand games.

Related irony but I see Kinects popping up in AI research all over the place. They're awesome bits of tech and it seems everyone but Microsoft is doing cool things with their hardware.

Even Spikey wouldn't be proud of this poor excuse for trolling. You're better than this, Octavius.

Yeah if it's voice recognition software is as good as it was when they showed it, it really is quite impressive. Doesn't interest me in a gaming console, though.

Haha. It wasn't a troll at you, but the second-hand game complainers.

Actually it was probably a troll at both of you. I just like your second hand game rants

Yep. This is definitely the case over here too.

There's a bloke at Flinders Uni using a Kinect as a music composition device and another is using them to do video segmentation for use on a wheelchair which automatically avoid obstacles. Some interesting game dev going on too, will take a couple of years to take hold as commercial possibilities, though.

There are quite a few Kinects floating around the campus but they're in short supply, trying to snag one for myself is proving tough. I get the feeling one **** is just using one of them to play dance games. Thinking I'll just buy my own and guard it with my life, some serious kleptomaniacs in higher research.

Anyway, back on topic. Microsoft sucks. Woooo.

Don't buy one until the new one comes out, will be far superior.
