    Saddam caught

As I write Saddam Hussien may have been caught by US forces in his home town of Tikirt.

According to the British government he has been caught and its a good chance he is.

If so, this is great for Iraq and get rid of this butcher and I would like to see the left response now.

If it were up to them Saddam would still be in power.

    You never learn, do you?

Now we are being spoon-fed that the benevolent nature of the American invasion of Iraq was purely to topple a tyrant.

    The war was about either
    a) Oil
    b) Can't get the person we want so we'll get the person we can
    c) Finishing daddy's job.

It was never about removing Saddam because he was a tyrant, it was never about retribution for what the monster did to his own people, it was never about 45 minutes.

Regarding the capture of Saddam Hussain, yes, obviously a good thing.

'What does the left think of that?' - what on earth do you mean? Are you insinuating that because we were against the war, then we must be pro-Saddam?

'If it were up to the left, he would still be in power'. Nice one. Who sold him the technology to begin with? Who backed him against Iraq? Who turned a blind eye to what he was doing against the Kurds? The left?

If you are, then I question your logic, your judgment and your sanity.

You are close to crossing a line you dont want to cross. Dont stur me up please.

You mean the line that you just crossed?

Sorry, but insults like that have no place. If you have a problem with Eddie, here is not the place to take it up.

I believe Iraq was sold the technology for their war with Iran and since the US didnt like Iran for holding US nationals during the Islamic revolulation of Iran.

Regardless whether the invasion was right or wrong it happened. Hopefully this will be a major step in allowing Iraq to move forward and develop as a country.

When did Saddam Hussain have anything to do with international terrorism?

    I must have missed that.

He was a tyrant, no doubt - but a terrorist? Oh, I suppose you mean the sneak attacks of the past few months. Well, if that tired old geriatric they pulled out of a hole in the ground in Tikrit was 'organising' the attacks on the allies, he's cleverer than he looks.

Don't believe everything you hear on Fox News. In fact, don't believe ANYTHING you hear on Fox News.

Now like all the other left-wingers in the world, I'm going to mourn the fall of a regime we put in place and light a candle to a great man.

Oh, that was sarcasm - just in case you failed to realise that, Craig
