Slash gone? ****s sake.

I take it we don't have to nominate for a specific role at the point of selection?

Noel Gallagher

Covers a few bases allowing me more flexibility later. Plus songwriting is vital to any band and he is my favourite.

****s!!!

I'll take Keith Richards. The rhythm guitarist sets the sound, and Keith's sound's alright with me.

Is it advantageous to pick a central guitar/vocals/songwriting type bloke at this stage?

I'd say it's best to go for anyone other drafters are likely to want, which is most likely to be singers and/or guitarists. Although I can think of a couple of drummers it might be worth nailing early doors too.

Cozza might fancy (say) Nikki Sixx for his bassist but I'd imagine the competition for him is going to be limited so he's safer to leave him until later rounds.

Either a singer or drummer next for me. I have both in mind, and the singer would compliment Richards nicely, so I think I'll go for him.

Probably looking at a bluesy rock stomping sound with gravitas!

I intend to nail either guitarist or singer first, doubt AN will go for my first choice, but he'd better get on with it!
