    1. Has a maximum spend - generally $100 or less.
    2. Security is no different to cash.

Obviously you want to tap them and go, but I'm talking about tap and go payment

Except that you can't spend cash over and over and over again at intervals less than $100.

    That's true.

But you can't get your cash returned once its stolen. Tap & go cards can reverse payments.

It happened to a friend of mine, over $1500 spent on the card in the 4 hours between losing it and it being noticed, and because he was shopping at the time (and had hence used it once or twice before losing it) Commonwealth refused to refund it on grounds that he couldn't prove that it wasn't him. He could've gone to further lengths, ie. statements from stores etc, but it was in Brisbane and he lives in Sydney so that's difficult.

Personally, I'll never have it. It takes 30 seconds less time than putting the card in and typing a number in and is far less safe. It doesn't make any sense, people are so impatient.

Scary thing is tho, by the sound of it, if you get your card nicked there's nothing to stop the thief using it in this way anyway even if you don't yourself.

Just got my new debit card from my bank and they were making a big thing of it being "contactless".

Surely this defeats the whole "chip & pin" dealy?

    - As featured in The Independent.

"The committee discussed the issue of illegal bowling actions, and believed that there are a number of bowlers currently employing suspect actions in international cricket, and that the ICC's reporting and testing procedures are not adequately scrutinising these bowlers."
    - Even the ICC's own official press release thinks things must change

FFS. This was basically going to be my post.

Although if I have $20s I generally try to avoid breaking them, and if I have a $50 odds are its still there months later. Hate spending big notes.

That sucks balls. Talk about bad luck.

Must have made like 15-20 transactions in those 4 hours. What a scum bag. Sounds like something a Brisbane person would do too

The moment I have more than 20 bucks in cash I just deposit it, got quite a talent for losing things.
