I am a brave man, I am a coward. I am the tiger, I am the flower.
I am honest, and I'm a liar. I am vital, I am tired.
I am a free man, I am caught. From where I am, I see the top.
I am most importantly never concerned with what I am not.
Forever, more than just surviving.
THIS IS MY LIFE AND THIS LIFE IS MY DIAMOND
But you can't get your cash returned once its stolen. Tap & go cards can reverse payments.
It happened to a friend of mine, over $1500 spent on the card in the 4 hours between losing it and it being noticed, and because he was shopping at the time (and had hence used it once or twice before losing it) Commonwealth refused to refund it on grounds that he couldn't prove that it wasn't him. He could've gone to further lengths, ie. statements from stores etc, but it was in Brisbane and he lives in Sydney so that's difficult.
Personally, I'll never have it. It takes 30 seconds less time than putting the card in and typing a number in and is far less safe. It doesn't make any sense, people are so impatient.
Scary thing is tho, by the sound of it, if you get your card nicked there's nothing to stop the thief using it in this way anyway even if you don't yourself.
Just got my new debit card from my bank and they were making a big thing of it being "contactless".
Surely this defeats the whole "chip & pin" dealy?

The moment I have more than 20 bucks in cash I just deposit it, got quite a talent for losing things.
