Those real men amongst you who dare to use a blade: what do you find is the optimum number of shaves per blade/set of blades? Three for me, certainly no more than four. Starts to not shave cleanly after that and I can feel it pulling.
I have the exact same problem, which is why I've stopped using my electric shaver.

Use my blade about 10 times before throwing it as I cbf to keep buying

    Bloody hell.

You might as well be shaving with a butter knife by then, surely?

Haha nah, looks and feels as good as new even after the 10 uses. Shave once every 2 days.

You should use an electric one on your balls, mate.

Yes I really should. Would help stop the ridiculous amount of STD's I have helped to spread from those little cuts.

Is this a "tragic youthful hairloss" scenario or do you genuinely like the look?

bit of both. started shaving my head (clippers #1) at about 13 but also had long hair when it was possible and everything in between

I recently switched from electric to wet shaving, and it is awesome.
Got all the works with a badger brush, shave soap and double edge razor. Takes a few minutes longer but no more razor burns and in grown hairs.
Hate all those cheap plastic razors such as the mach, fusion etc.

Shave with a Gillette Mach III Pro (iirc) which is not the best razor of all-time but is cheap and gets the job done. Have never had any problem with burns but cut myself about once in six months.

I shave the night before a court room exercise, project viva, presentation, miscellaneous speech and social events where I intend to make a good first impression with someone for whatever reason.

So I end up shaving on average once every 3-4 days out of necessity.
