    100m times

We just had our sports carnival today, and I ran the 100. Seeing as though I had a pretty bad thigh cramp, I thought my time of 13.15 was pretty good. Then we did the long jump, and I got 5.19 m. Pretty good 4 a 14 yr old, ey?

13.15 isn't bad, and 5.19 is pretty damn good! 5.19m would have won our Sports Day when I was 14 (actually, 4.3m would have won it the weather was so bad).

What sort of track/weather conditions were they for you?

When my bro was 14 he ran 100 in 11.2, but that was sometime in the 80's. And what exactly was meant by "Aussie mentality"? Don't get it

Reuben, I think most people would run better when it's sunny and when the tracks are harder, then when it's pelting down with rain and the track is both grass and at an angle across (lovely school fields..)

For the record, i managed 12.9.

Regarding the Aussie mentality comments, if u hadn't picked it up by now, Sunil is a kiwi and doesn't appear to be overly fond of Australians, or anyone who talks up their own ability.

IMO, there's nothing wrong with talking up your ability as long as you have some there, and Sunil, you have already been warned about these NZ-Australia comments, they are getting too close towards direct insults than friendly banter. Watch yourself or you could very easily find yourself banned.

Sorry, but for the record i haven't already been warned about comments like that, and i don't think that its anything more than friendly banter, i am not a mean person. i was just mentioning that the way australians like to talk themselves up still exists, i think you are being ridiculous for saying that a comment like that could get me banned. i never actually said it was a bad thing, because i have seen how tall poppy syndrome destroys people in new zealand. although i made myself a fan club (as a joke) i am a modest person, please excuse me for noticing that FrontierPsychiartrist isn't.

Don't worry Neil, Sunil's only having a friendly crack at me, and if u actually knew me, you would find I don't actually like talking about myself. Australia is really a multi cultral society, that's why I didnt get the "Aussie Mentality" comment, ok. For the record, it would be pretty ridiculous to ban someone for those sort of comments.
